A1: In 205/2026 the following amounts were ordered: - Standard pouch - 852 - Disaster pouch - 348 - Child - 50 - Infant - 50 - Bariatric - 50 Q2: Typical Release Order Quantity and Frequency - What is the approximate quantity normally ordered per release for each item, and how frequently are releases generally expected (for example, monthly, quarterly or as required)? A2: As required. Q3: Initial Order Requirement - Is there an anticipated initial quantity to be ordered immediately following contract award? If so, could you provide the estimated quantity by item? A3: No, orders will be as required. Q4: Delivery Date of October 1, 2026 - The tender identifies October 1, 2026, as the requested delivery date. Is this intended to apply to an initial order, or should suppliers primarily plan around the stated requirement to deliver individual releases within 5-7 business days? A4: No, plan around individual releases. Q5: Packaging / Case Quantities - Are there any preferred or required case-pack quantities for the individual products, or may suppliers propose their standard manufacturer case packaging provided pricing is submitted on a per-unit basis? A5: We are open to this, and suppliers can propose manufacturer case packaging. Q6: Equivalent Products / Minor Variations - Where an exact specification is not commercially available, will technically equivalent products be considered if the bidder clearly identifies the deviation and provides supporting technical documentation demonstrating equal or better performance? A6: Yes. Provided documentation is provided, and potentially samples. Q7: Blood-Borne Pathogen Compliance Requirement - Items 6 and 7 reference "OSHA Regulation 3130." Could you please confirm the specific regulation, standard or test requirement that suppliers are expected to demonstrate compliance with, and whether manufacturer certification or technical documentation will be acceptable evidence? A7: Manufacturer certification or technical documentation will be acceptable evidence. Q8: Award of All Seven Items - Please confirm whether bidders are required to provide compliant pricing for all seven items in order to be considered for award, or whether bids may be submitted for individual items. A8: Bidders are to bid on all items to be considered compliant. Q9: Samples - If samples are requested during evaluation, approximately how much time will bidders be provided to supply them, and will one sample of each requested product be sufficient? A9: The samples would be required within thirty (30) days of the request, and one of each would be sufficient. Q10: Alternative Manufacturer Part Numbers - Where multiple manufacturer products meet the specification, may a bidder identify more than one acceptable manufacturer/part number, or should only one product be proposed for each tender line? A10: May identify more than one. Q11: Historical Consumption Information - If exact annual forecasts are unavailable, would the Province be able to provide approximate quantities purchased under the previous contract, by product type, for the most recent 12- or 24-month period? A11: Please refer to A1 above. Q12: Item 6 states "Six (8) padded handles." Could you please confirm that the intended requirement is eight (8) padded handles? A12: Yes. Item 6 requirement is Eight (8) padded handles. All other information remains the same *** SCOPE The Department of Justice and Public Safety - Coroner Services is looking to establish a Contract of Supply for the supply and delivery of body bags, on an as and when required basis. This Contract of Supply is for an initial period of one (1) year, commencing upon contract award, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods upon written agreement from both parties. OPTION YEAR PRICING Pricing will be subject to negotiation of a satisfactory contract price not to exceed the tendered price plus any published increase in the New Brunswick Consumer Price Index (CPI). If a mutually agreed upon price cannot be reached GNB reserves the right to re-tender, re-award or delete the item(s) in question. SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Please refer to the Item Descriptions below. The Province of N.B. reserves the right to add additional items, which fall within the product category, during the term of the contract if deemed necessary by the province. DELIVERY The successful bidder is to deliver the goods to the shipping address stated above within 5 to 7 business days upon receipt of an official release against this contract. CONTRACT AWARD CRITERIA This tender will be evaluated and awarded based on the overall lowest compliant bid which meets the required specifications. Prior to award the lowest compliant bidder may be asked to provide a sample of any or all product(s) as part of the evaluation process. The department may also conduct reference checks and reserves the right to contact other departments and agencies within GNB to obtain information on the bidder's past performance withing the previous five (5) years. Results from the aforementioned consultation that are unsatisfactory to the Department, in its sole and absolute discretion, will result in the disqualification of the bidder's bid. HOW TO SUBMIT PRICING Bidders are invited to submit their UNIT PRICE--the price for a single product within the Tender Item--under the 'Unit Price Including Discount' column. Bidders should then multiply their unit price by the 'Quantity/Unit' to calculate the 'Extended Price'. The 'Unit Price Including Discount' and 'Extended Price' should NOT include taxes. All shipping/delivery charges MUST be included in the unit price. BIDDER QUESTIONS All inquiries should be received five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date; any inquiries received less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date cannot be guaranteed a response. Please reference the tender number and closing date within your communications to ensure a prompt and accurate reply.
