The success fee, with the arithmetic
On every plan, when you win a contract Cornerstone matched to you, a success fee of 0.25% of the awarded value applies — minimum $500, maximum $25,000 CAD. It never applies to work you found outside the platform, and it is only raised after you mark the bid as won.
Where the numbers cross. 0.25% does not overtake the $500 minimum until an award of $200,000. Below that you pay the $500 minimum, so the effective rate is higher on smaller awards: an $80,000 win costs $500, which is 0.625%. A $400,000 win costs $1,000 — the straight 0.25%. The $25,000 maximum only binds above a $10,000,000 award.
Nothing is charged automatically. A fee statement appears in your dashboard, you pay it yourself, and you can decline any statement for a win Cornerstone did not match. Full details in our Terms of Service.
