Issued by: GREATER MIRAMICHI REGIONAL SERVICE COMMISSION Published: 2026/10/01 08:24 The Greater Miramichi Service Commission (GMSC) is accepting tenders for residential garbage collection, transfer and disposal services within the municipal limits of the Municipality of Alnwick. Collected garbage is to be delivered to the Red Pine Solid Waste Disposal Site in Allardville. Scope of work - Curbside collection of residential and non-commercial garbage once every second week, alternating with recyclables collection - About 1,941 residential stops in four communities: Alnwick (841), Tabusintac (486), FairIsle (455) and Oak Point-Bartibog Bridge (159). Stop counts are for information only. - Two bulky item and white goods clean-ups per year, at no extra cost - Maps of the collection area are included in Schedule A. Contract term 24 months, from January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2028, with the option to extend for up to two additional 12-month periods by mutual agreement. Submission requirements - Tenders must be submitted on the Form of Tender provided, in a sealed envelope showing the company name, tender number and closing date. - Submit one original and one copy. - Include confirmation of WorkSafeNB registration and coverage. - Tenders must be signed by an authorized signing authority. Closing Tenders must be received at the GMSC office, 170 Wellington Street, Miramichi, NB E1N 1L9, no later than 11:00 a.m. local time on Friday, October 30, 2026. Late tenders will be rejected. Tenders will be opened in public right after closing, in the GMSC Conference Room. Questions Send all questions in writing to mrousselle@gmsc.ca no later than seven (7) days before closing. Answers will be issued as addenda. The Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
