Organization: Agriculture and Irrigation PROJECT OVERVIEW The purpose of this RFP is to secure: a) A contractor to provide high quality, reliable and consistent sanitation and cleaning services to the Province for: Bio Processing Innovation Centre (BPIC) including pilot scale processing machines and equipment housed within the facility. b) Sanitation and cleaning services are required at BPIC located at 5520 – 36 Street NW, Edmonton, AB. This facility is administered by the Province of Alberta. c) Services required include general services, equipment cleaning and specialized sanitation services for processing rooms and equipment. These services may involve the use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and work within confined spaces. All sanitation and equipment cleaning activities shall be performed in accordance with the facility’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and applicable health and safety requirements. d) Equipment to be cleaned may include the following processes: • Wet and dry fractionation • Extraction and purification • Freeze drying and spray dryer • Wiped film evaporator and reactors • Processing tanks and holes • Processing pumps • Testing and analysis • Formulation/scale up of cosmetic/personal care products equipment • NNHP development, manufacturing and filling equipment • Packaging and labeling equipment • Floors Detailed information about BPIC and equipment is included in this link: https://www.alberta.ca/bio-industrial-opportunities-section e) Services are generally delivered late in the day and into the evening after close of BPIC’s business day. Services may also be required at weekends. Under normal circumstances one week’s notification will be given and in case of an emergency 24 hours’ notice will be given. The period of delivery is generally Monday to Friday from 4:30pm until scheduled services are completed. However, the Province may require delivery service during a different time- period based on the needs of BPIC
