Scope

Organization: Environment and Protected Areas Growing Alberta’s agri-food production, economy and population requires access to reliable water supplies now, over the next 100 years and beyond. A long-term strategy to enhance water security will help guide Alberta’s actions and investments through the 21st century and beyond to support growth, increasing water use and potential climate change. The Water for Life strategy outlines the Government of Alberta's commitments to manage and safeguard Alberta's water resources. The strategy has been the vehicle for guiding Alberta's water resource stewardship since its release in 2003. Ensuring access to water for decades and the next century is a goal of Alberta’s Water for Life Strategy and requires holistic, innovative and big thinking, including related to: • Maximizing our use of water storage and conveyance infrastructure • Managing groundwater supplies sustainably • Expanding strong policy approaches • Leveraging real-time measurement, modelling, reporting, and management tools. Submission: Proposals must be submitted electronically, via email, in Microsoft Word or UNSECURED Adobe Acrobat format by the RFP Closing Date and Time to the following email address: EPA.WatershedResilience@gov.ab.ca. The email subject line should indicate that it is a Proposal and include the RFP number and title. The complete Proposal should be in one (1) email, including attachments, and should not be larger than 25MB to facilitate receipt by the Province. If multiple emails are required to accommodate attachment sizes, the emails should provide clear instructions on how the Proposal is to be integrated (e.g., 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3). The official time and date of receipt of the Proposal will be determined by the email received time as recorded by the Government of Alberta’s email server.
