Organization: Onward Homes Society The Project is a high-priority capital improvement initiative for Onward Homes focused on modernizing the interior corridor infrastructure of Murdoch Manor and George King Tower in Calgary. This project encompasses a total of twenty-three floors between the two senior residential high-rises and aims to transition existing aging carpet and legacy materials to a high-performance commercial-grade luxury vinyl plank system. The primary nature of this opportunity is to provide a turn-key flooring solution that enhances resident safety through slip resistance and improves building hygiene while maintaining a maximum budgetary ceiling of two hundred twenty thousand dollars. The scope of procurement includes the full demolition and daily off-site disposal of existing materials followed by intensive subfloor preparation. Contractors are required to mechanically profile the concrete to a surface profile rating of two to three using diamond grinding or scarifying as outlined in section three point two. Furthermore, mandatory relative humidity moisture testing must be performed on all floors to ensure the slab is suitable for adhesive application. The material specifications require a glue-down luxury vinyl plank with a minimum thickness five millimeters and a twenty mil wear layer. To ensure safety for the senior population, all installed products must meet a minimum R ten anti-slip rating and include six-inch rubber cove base and code-compliant beveled transitions.
