Scope

Organization: University of Calgary Western Transmission Catalysts (WTC) is a multi-partner initiative held at the University of Calgary that advances inter-provincial electricity transmission across Western Canada. The initiative brings together Indigenous Nations, governments, electricity system operators, utilities, industry, and other strategic partners to address barriers to transmission development through research, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration. WTC seeks to advance economic competitiveness and affordability, Indigenous partnership and economic reconciliation, clean energy integration, and Canada's long-term energy resilience. A key priority of the initiative is to build awareness, strengthen relationships, and foster support among senior decision-makers and strategic stakeholders, including provincial and federal governments, electricity system operators, utilities, regulators, Indigenous partnership, and industry partners. To support this objective, the University of Calgary is seeking a consultant to provide strategic stakeholder engagement, relationship management, project coordination, and performance monitoring services that advance collaboration and support the successful delivery of the initiative. Additional Indigenous strategies can be found at: https://www.ucalgary.ca/indigenous/about-ii-taapohtop/explore-strategy The University of Calgary is inviting proposal submissions from Proponents who have the resources, qualifications, experience, and ability to successfully provide strategic stakeholder engagement and coordination services in support of the Western Transmission Catalysts initiative.
