Organization: City of Spruce Grove The City of Spruce Grove receives potable water from the Capital Region Parkland Water Services Commission (CRPWSC) water supply system, sourced by EPCOR, and stores it primarily in the Zone 1 reservoir (also known as the south reservoir) within pressure zone 1. The south reservoir in Zone 1 had three storage cells until recently, when Cell 1-1 was decommissioned this year. As a result, the reservoir's total capacity has decreased from 43,000 m3 to approximately 34,000 m3. In addition, Cell 1-2 is approaching the end of its life and currently provides a considerable amount of water storage (~14,000 m3) for the City. The north reservoir in Zone 2 provides approximately 6,819 m3 of water storage, which is fed by the Zone 1 reservoir through a 600 mm distribution main connection. The reservoir component is also approaching its design life and is expected to be decommissioned soon. Given these current and future storage reductions, the City intends to increase the Zone 1 reservoir capacity to accommodate future demand under the built-out scenario. Accordingly, the City requires an assessment of future storage requirements and an associated conceptual sizing and location study.
